In Stockport, Manchester, and Cheshire, there are several methods for ordering repeat prescriptions, including:
- Contacting your GP surgery by phone, email, or in person to request a repeat prescription.
- Dropping off a repeat slip with the items you require ticked at your GP surgery.
- Using an independent online service provider, such as MY PATIENT ACCESS or the NHS APP. This will typically involve logging into an account and placing your request. This is a great option as it is quick and easy, however, it does require registration.
- Ordering your repeat prescription from your local pharmacy. Some pharmacies are allowed to reorder medications that are regularly taken by the patient, which can save time and potentially get the medication faster. The pharmacies can also keep track of what has been ordered, so you don’t need to. You can order medication from us as long as you are registered here. If not registered, please click here, and we can add you to our pharmacy list.
- Some GP surgeries also offer the option to order repeat prescriptions via post or fax. However, we don’t recommend this option as confidential information can often go missing, and you are at the mercy of a postal service!
It’s important to note that the specific methods available to you may vary depending on your GP surgery or pharmacy, so it’s best to check with them for the procedures in place for ordering repeat prescriptions.
